‘The Ethels’ …. an update

We’ve had a message from Doug Colton (who designed and launched the ‘Ethels App’) to tell us that Country Walking Magazine have done a 6 page article on the app and the walks. Doug also told us that there have been over 11,000 downloads of the Ethel Ready app in the last 12 months, taking the total to more than 28,000.

There’s no let up in its popularity !!!

Additionally … not resting on his laurels, Doug has added the following handy new features to the app in the last 12 months (so refresh the app if you haven’t recently)

• Date you climbed each hill
• Share your climbed log by email, WhatsApp, etc
• Satellite view option on the map
• Option to sort list of Ethels by height
• OS grid reference of your GPS location on the map
• Peak District boundary shown on the map
