Through our Speaker Service we deliver thought-provoking and inspiring presentations tailored to your interests.

We can talk about:

  • The history and mission of our charity, including our ongoing efforts to protect the natural beauty of the Peak District and South Yorkshire countryside.
  • The inspiring life and enduring legacy of Ethel Haythornthwaite, a pioneer in environmental conservation.
  • Key challenges currently facing the countryside and what we are doing to address them.
  • Our achievements over the past 100 years, highlighting major milestones.

Talks can be tailored to suit your schedule, ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. Whenever feasible, having access to a projector and screen in situ is beneficial.

We kindly request a £100 donation to support our efforts in preserving the South Yorkshire and Peak District countryside.

Ethel Haythornthwaite founded a local society called the Sheffield Association for the Protection of Rural Scenery, which went on to become the local branch of CPRE in 1927. 

She helped make the successful case for the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act of 1949 and was instrumental in the creation of the Peak District National Park and the Sheffield Green Belt.
